We spend a half day exploring Sintra’s natural beauty, royal landmarks, and charming historic center — a perfect introduction to the magic of the region.

🌲 Forest Walk & Scenic Viewpoint

We begin with a gentle walk through Sintra’s lush forest, following shaded paths surrounded by ferns, moss, and ancient trees. We reach a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the entire region — the mountains, the palaces, and the Atlantic in the distance.

🌈 Pena Palace

Next, we visit Pena Palace, Sintra’s colorful Romantic icon. We explore its terraces, courtyards, and dramatic viewpoints — and then continue into the surrounding palace gardens, wandering through shaded paths, hidden viewpoints, and the lush forest that makes Pena one of the most magical places in Portugal. 

🏰 Moorish Castle

From there, we continue to the Moorish Castle, an 8th–9th century fortress. We walk along its stone walls and towers, enjoying some of the most impressive panoramas in Sintra.

🏘️ Sintra Old Town

We finish with a relaxed stroll through Sintra’s Old Town, wandering through medieval streets, local shops, and charming squares.

A perfect ending to a rich and memorable half‑day experience.
